Rivers of Tears

The people weep and wail as they starve,

And hunger daily for the wealth they have,

Yet they lack. The rivers of tears on their streets

Amidst so much as same they lack too much,

They roam naked and empty, amidst a world of

Wealth. The old mourn their young, the young

no hope for tomorrow. Their daily strife they see

as the way of life amongst a million paths in life.

In the ocean of wealth they sleep and wake,

The streams of possibilities, billions of realities

but hope, surreal. Roundabout, here and there,

Good without measure all abound. Yet my people

Swim daily in deadly rivers of tears. Oh let

my people free, let my people eat from the

bounties of their lands, rivers and seas. Stop

stop, oh rivers of tears. Dry, dry oh harmful

tears, flow no more, flow no more oh

rivers of tears.
