Crossing The Merrimack

As I walk along the bridge I shiver,

all my life I’ve Known this river.

The stories of it’s glorious past,

away the good years gone so fast.

While once it was our power source

it’s now become a jogging course,

and since the Industrial Revolution

our river’s products have become pollution.

new old new

I prefer the back seat but it's not all that bad. I drank some last year and I am still alive and well :-) Good point about a real bad time in the Mighty Merrimack's history. Nice to see the white rapids the past few years but for so long the yellow and green was real bad. Nice write about polution Patricia. Joy and Peace come to you :-)

Your Piece

I am un-repentant History Uber geek. For the first second, I thought hmmm civil war write? I was pleasantly surprised. Thank you for sharing your work. All my best! David California is proof that Hell is full, and the Dead walk the streets.
