In Time

Even her heartbeat is lovely.
Keeping time with my contentment.

It doesn't assert, or insist.
But it holds me here, in between,
waiting for the next beat.

What woman...

in her right mind, would refuse the attention of a man that can write like that?
I think that there are few people that understand how to pack that much emotion in so few words. I think you would have made a fine traveling troubadour, full of romantic songs. Nicely done. ~ Geez.
