Blonde of the Wind

In innocence, he gave his heart,
To a girl, a work of art.
Her smile, a radiant beam,
Captivated him, his love's sweet dream.

She moved on, to higher halls,
Where older boys, with charm, enthrall.
Their words, a sweet, siren's call,
Lured her in, beyond them all.

He watched, as she slipped away,
Into a world, where he couldn't stay.
The older boys, with confidence bold,
Took her hand, and his heart grew cold.

He remembered laughter, shared with glee,
Promises made, beneath the tree.
But now, she's gone, and he's left behind,
A heart, once full, now lost, and blind.

In time, he'll heal, and love again,
But for now, he'll hold on to the pain.
For in loving her, he learned to live,
And though she's gone, his heart will survive.
