Whispers
Fate chimes no hour for loss; at most infers
that man nor woman, child nor oldsters know,
though each to our own impulse staunchly stirs,
why hazard strikes or gods decree we go.
I ask not where nor why your death was writ.
In shadows of converging night you went,
trampled back to earth, blindly as permits
a youth’s despair; his inner substance spent,
conveyed on Winter’s breeze with frailest dawn.
A yoke that only Time redeems in time.
My son, no penance does that breeze inform
and in sweet verse your soul I will enshrine
with love. Freed from chains, splendor is reborn;
listen to your heart: its warmth dwells in mine.

Dear Teddy, thanks for your heartfelt remarks. Today is not a happy Father's day for me. But still, I hope you and everybody has a splendid day.
Tomorrow I shall feel better, but anniversaries are hard to bear with. All the best to you, Gracy

Thank you, Jerry. It came out that way, old fashioned. Glad you like it. Today is the anniversary of Robert's death. I always post it in remembrance of him.
All the best and thanks for coming around to read. Gracy

This is only goes to prove
we live as
long as someone remembers us
even when we are lurking
along the coasts of eternity
But that we do
I really don't know
rarely will I ever believe
but all continue to preach
life after death
yet I beseech
there is only a screen of membrane
like a virgin hymen
we call it memory
all else is imagery
none has ever returned
sinner
lover
Lord or a simple one
that I will be once
when out of living
human memory
yes memory

Dear lovedly, thanks for your comments. I'm glad they made you ponder on life after death. I myself have faith that we'll be re-united with all our lost loved ones. I have no reasons to explain this, it is my faith, I feel it all the time. After all, the present is much like Revelations, it's all happenning before our eyes, like the 4 horsemen of the Apocalypse. Plagues, lost harvests, fear and death. Etc.
Glad you came by, Gracy
