I'm a dreamer. A romanticist in a generation that seems to have lost the ideals I was born with. I have always dreamed of finding a love that could last a lifetime but many couples don't actually try. I stick to my convictions while everyone changes and are as sheep around me. Waiting for that next cigarette or high...it's lonely being the only one who stands for something...as a poet I try to see the other side of situations. Even if it doesn't seem ethically or morally correct. I will not dazzle you simply with a positive outlook all the time. The poems I write may make you sick to your stomach . Maybe even depress you. But there is always night and day. And sometimes I can make you smile. I think its more challenging to write the poem that is disturbing. Or the reality that no one wants to admit exists. Starving children. War. Terror. Disease. Reality. So I don't ask you to excuse my work. I do however ask that you expand your mind to see the other half of any situation. Like if there is a terrorist, why is he a terrorist? Because he stands up against a government (even if its his own)? Or because he lashes out against other countries? Think about why...religion? Conditioning? All I ask when you read my poems is try to stand outside your comfort zone and look into another side of life. Try to understand someone else's life. Whether rapist or victim. While I don't justify it, its reality. And that story must be told as well. I am not afraid to aim to get you a story such as this. Or any other I like a challenge and the darker side is more difficult. Thank you for your interest...
