Awakened One
My illusion
melts away like wax
revealing a deep inner core –
a dark reality to which
I must awaken
Too long
and obliviously too
have I suckled the nipples of illusion
Once I have fortified myself I
will replace my vulnerability
with Impregnability
I shall be rooted in the knowledge:

no matter which crack or cranny
the truth may creep in from
or whatever that truth may be
I shall be in a state of readiness
of the awakened one, who
after having plumbed
the length, the breath and the depth
of consciousness
disturbed wisdom
from its dogmatic slumber
Then,
I shall neither be beguiled
by the lure of happiness
nor shattered
by the onslaught of sorrow
I shall neither be elevated
on a wave of recognition nor
obliterated
by the shadow of oblivion
I shall neither curse
my ill fate nor
praise my luck
I shall neither live
in the life of a shadow
nor die in the shadow of life
