The Day I Set You Free
I will never forget
The day you were born
It was Valentines Day
Four in the morn
I held you in my arms
For the very first time
And you were so special
I called you my little Valentine
I embrace you're fragile
Tiny fingertips
Then kiss them with
The softness of my lips
I then gently touched
You’re cute tiny nose

Little fingers and toes
I still smell the scent
of your soft skin
and hear the sighs
of your every whim
On this special day
As I gaze back in time
Memories of the heart
Play gently on my mind
The love you brought
Into my very life
I had to let you go
To one who is the Light
God took you to His heaven,
To His eternal home above
filled with joy peace and love
And plenty of angel hugs
One day your love
Will come back to me.
Loving, you was the day
I set you free
