The Christmas Holiday Season
Christmas has come again
It's a great time of year
To be with your friends
And enjoy some great cheer
Is it all about gifts
Or trimming a tree
Give each other a lift
And some Christmas glee
It can cost so much money
If we have it to spend
Certainly not funny
If you have none to send
People are more generous in the holiday season
Bless their hearts; every one of us

Do it without a fuss
It's a tough time of year for some
They can't wait for it to end
They have no where to call home
And no cards to send
Thank goodness they still get a turkey dinner
Of mashed potatoes, stuffing and corn
They do remember and keep it in their hearts
This is the day Jesus was born.

About Me
About me
I am a 54 year old woman who likes to write. I am unemployed at present, but when I do work, I do customer service, or cleaning rooms. I have medical issues with my back, and so have working restrictions.
On a more positive note, I am thinking of putting together a poetry book, in the near future. I have recently put together a manuscript of sixty-three pages; and am looking for ideas on the next steps I should take. I thank you all in advance for all your comments; and for comments already made. I am so excited to be part of this poetry site!
