I have always been a writer, in that I dabbled, but it has only been since I retired that I have begun to dedicate myself to creative writing. in general. I have a very old BA in English lit but believe me I have forgotten most of what i learned. At this time I don't know a metaphor from a split infinitive. I basically write what comes to my mind and then I read and rewrite. My poems are for the most part Imagistic. I don't right with theme in mind. I'm not attempting to explore weighty philosophical, moral and ethical, or psychological issues. I leave interpretation and or enjoyment up to the reader. In July I am enrolled in a four day workshop for fiction so I am busy putting my portfolio together. I may not participate a lot to begin with but i will in the near future. This is exactly the kind of group I have been looking for.
